As expected the unemployment didn't last long. Not nearly long enough, in fact. I'm now working full time again despite my best efforts to remain part time. There's such a teacher shortage here that I took pity on them and agreed to six months of FT slavery.
It's not that I mind the work: I have lovely colleagues and delightful students. It's just that there's no time left over for the rest of my life. Lie-ins, afternoon movies and blogging have become nought but distant memories.
Exercise and any notion of a healthy diet were the first victims of the new regime, of course. I've even bought a microwave. I've heard you can get microwaveable pies now. Ain't progress wonderful?
