Well, that was a bit of a shock to the system. I received an email from Bigpond telling me that my usage had just reached 9 gb. I was somewhat surprised because we've only just gone onto a 12 gb plan from our previous 500 mb limit and it seemed like a helluva jump to make in three weeks. Had Jim developed a secret porn habit? Had the computer been taken over as a zombie, dispatching a million junk emails begging punters to buy viagra, take out an extra mortgage or join a dental plan?
I checked my usage meter and found that on a heavy day I use about 50mb - until today when my usage abruptly shot up to 9 gb in 12 hours. I've been at work all day and Jim's been at the zoo (he calls that work) so the computer hadn't even been switched on. Phew! A glitch for sure. Bigpond assure me that all will be well within the hour. But then last month they told me that I'd only get one bill for all my Telstra services and that hasn't happened yet. We'll see.
