I still have a sore arm and it looks like it's not going away any time soon so it's probably just as well that I'm beginning to enjoy the pain. I got it from excessive cutting and guillotining new sets of games for my students.
The doc can't give me anything to cure it and there's no point taking painkillers because then I'll just use it more and delay the healing still further. So I think of it as a reminder not to be so stupid again. Surely I should have learned by now that no good deed goes unpunished. Never volunteer.
The doctor said maybe ultrasound therapy might help if I can afford it, the chiropractor is willing to try magnetism and internet sources suggest acupuncture. Maybe I should go back to the witch doctor in Borneo who once cured my eczema.
So while I consider my options I'll enjoy the 'wriggly tooth' sensation of the pain in my arm and continue to be a pain in the neck to my colleagues who'll have to pick up the slack when the next set of games needs cutting.
