Many thanks for all the birthday greetings. 51 years old and how did I celebrate the day? By going to see a kid's movie: Transformers. Young at heart? Perhaps. Addicted to junk both visual and edible? Absolutely.
Of course, when the salty popcorn was finished I needed something sweet so it was over the road to Baskin and Robbins for a scoop of Bavarian chocolate ice-cream. An excellent birthday treat.
After a wet and windy weekend the sun finally put in an appearance and the place warmed up enough for me to be able to weigh myself without my pink fluffy dressing gown.
