Today's quote: I have a great diet: you can have anything you want..but you must eat it with naked fat people. Ed Bluestone

Well, it must be working I am now down to 78.8 kg.

All it took was a few days of starvation...

Q. Why is there no such organization as Chocoholics Anonymous?
A. Because no one wants to quit.

So let's get the bad news over with first then I can spend the rest of the blog on my (somewhat feeble) excuses. Current weight: 80.2 kg. Regular readers will realise at once that this is an increase on last week's total. What happened? I was an absolute angel all week but then on Saturday night I took (a mere) four and a half hours off dieting. It would appear from the results that a lot of damage can be done in that time. Gotta say though that the meal was worth it: chicken in a creamy sauce in filo pastry, a superb piece of fish with salad (oh and maybe one or two roast potatoes) chocolate obsession ice-cream, a cheese board I'll be dreaming about for weeks and some hand-made chocolate truffles. (As you know, I don't really like that sort of thing but I managed to force a few down just to be polite)

It looks like I'll have to spend the rest of the week on vegetable soup to try and get back to where I was last week. Did someone say 'exercise?'.... Go wash your mouth out with soap!

The good news is that for the first time in a while I am under eighty kilos. 79.6 kg to be precise. The bad news is that as you lose weight you have to reduce the number of points you get each day to 'spend' on food. Hmm, I have a big meal out coming up at the end of the week. I think I'll leave the points reduction until next week. I may be becoming addicted to weight watchers sugar-free sweeties. (The liquorice ones blow your socks off!) I wonder if there's a help group available.

Apart from a minor lapse with a plate of chips, I have been really good all week. So I was prepared to throw a tantrum and demand a recount if the scales failed to reflect this. I needn't have worried a drop was recorded. Pretty pitiful but at least it's in the right direction. Obviously this is going to take a long time. Current weight 80.6 kg.
